Parsonics Corp. Air Acoustic Transducers Series 4012
Parsonics Corp. TRANSDUCERS
The 4012 Series Air Acoustic Transducers enhance the performance of 40 kHz
Level Sensing systems. The transducers feature low electrical impedance and
an improved signal-to-noise ratio for strong, clean signals with the controlled
damping for reduced dead zone. Models 4012A and 4012B are pre-stressed for
operation over a wide range of environmental temperatures. The proprietary
design provides the classical beam pattern of a two-inch source without the
annoying side lobes of other designs.
The
resin filled housings with pipe termination are available in PVC, CPVC, Teflon,
Kynar and 316 Stainless Steel to make them compatible with most level sensing
environments. The compact light-weight design utilizes Lead Zirconate / Titanate
elements in a sealed vibration-isolated cell for reduced microphonism in
structurally noisy
installations.
The 4012 series uses three basic transducer cells designated A, B or C.
"A" cells are available in PVC or CPVC housings.
"B" cells are available in PVC, CPVC, Teflon (TEF), Kynar (KYN) and 316 Stainless
Steel (S) housings.
"C" cells are available in PVC and CPVC housings.
Special Housings:
Housings with two inch pipe threads on the bottom are available for all cell
models in PVC or CPVC.
"B" cells are also available in 3-A Sanitary housings made of PVC, Teflon,
Kynar, and Stainless Steel in 3" and 4" versions.
2" to 10" ANSI flanges can be installed over the rear mounting stem of all
models except the 3-A Sanitary type.
2" to 6" flanges can be installed flush with the front face of the PVC and
CPVC housed transducers of A,B or C type. Teflon faces can be applied to
the B or C flush flange units so that everything on the tank side of the
installation is Teflon.
Cable:
Standard cable length is three feet of RG62/U. Other cable lengths up to
500 feet are available.
Thermal Sensors:
Standard thermal sensor is the AD590JH. Customer supplied sensors can be
installed.
Agency Approved Models:
The 4012BS (Stainless Steel) model is available in a CSA approved version
for use in a Class 1, Group A, B, C or D locations.
Accessories:
An exponential horn to increase range and decrease the beam angle can be
provided for all PVC models except flush flange units.
Matching driver transformers can be provided for all models.
Threaded couplers can be provided for all models.
Gaskets for the ANSI flanges and the 3-A Sanitary models are available.
